Q: When can I begin moving my belongings into a storage unit?

A: As long as we have a storage unit available you can begin moving your belongings in as soon as you’re ready.

Q: What documentation is required to rent a space?

A: In order to rent a space with the Mobile Attic, you’ll need one government-issued ID, such as a Driver’s License, a State ID, or a Passport.

Q: Do I have to sign a long-term lease?

A: One of the great things about the Mobile Attic is that our contracts are month-to-month unless otherwise requested.

Q: Will I have the option to purchase insurance?

A: Here at the Mobile Attic, we offer two levels of insurance – just ask at checkout! Oftentimes your auto or homeowners insurance will also cover your belongings while they are in storage. Speak with your agent to find out.

Q: Will someone need to be in the office in order for me to get through the security gates?

A: Yes. Please schedule a date and time to ensure that the gate will be open for you.

Q: How do I pay for my storage unit?

A: Our payment options include mail, website or on-site (in person). We also offer our customers the option to have their monthly payment automatically withdrawn from their credit card/debit card/checking account.

Q: What methods of payment are accepted at the Mobile Attic?

A: We accept checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Q: Can I also purchase or rent storage supplies through the Mobile Attic?

A: Absolutely. We carry a large variety of storage supplies – just ask one of our reps at checkout.

Q: How can I be sure I’m renting the right amount of storage space?

A: Check out our What Fits? page for a better idea of what you can fit in each storage unit.

Q: Do I need an appointment to view the storage units and property?

A: You’re always welcome to visit, but we recommend making an appointment to ensure that someone is available to show you the facility.

Q: Do I have to bring my own lock for my storage unit?

A: You are welcome to bring your own lock but we also have locks for purchase on-site.

Q: How much notice will I need to give when I no longer need the storage unit?

A: A 7-day notice is required to help guarantee the pickup date that you need. We will go over all of this in detail when you’re signing the contract.

Q: Can I store anything in my storage unit?

A: You may not store liquids, toxic materials, flammable liquids, explosives and perishable items like food in your storage unit. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Q: Will I need to bring my own hand trucks & dollies?

A: Yes. We have a variety of helpful moving tools on site, including packing blankets, straps and locks, but you will need to bring your own hand trucks and dollies.

Q: Are there any other fees I should know about?

A: If you are storing our container on your property there is a transportation charge, but if the storage unit is remaining on our property there are no additional fees.

Q: What are Mobile Attic’s hours of operation?

A: Our office is open Monday through Friday and our hours are 8 AM to 7 PM. On Saturdays our hours are 9 AM to 1 PM. You can access your storage unit using your gate code any day of the week from 7 AM to 7 PM.
